Frequently Asked Questions

At Phoenix Gymnastics we take gymnasts from beginner to high level in a full time gymnastics facility focusing on GYMNASTICS and not money making. We have all our high Olympic standard pieces of gymnastics equipment set up at all times. ALL our members are registered with GI to give them the very best insurance (not just the cheapest one) and allows them access to all GI events including the GymSTART, The FLOOR, and all the way up to national and international competitions. Some of our gymnasts have started in Phoenix Gymnastics as complete beginners and have been guided through our pathways to become some of the top gymnasts in the country! We are a multi discipline club and have both boys and girls on National teams across several disciplines along with our amazing inclusion program which won us the Most Inclusive Club in Ireland award 2017. We were also awarded Competitive Club of the Year in 2018. Our coaches are ALL nationally qualified to the highest standard available in Ireland and some are even one step further going abroad to advance their qualifications. If you’re joining a gymnastics club, OUR advice is to join one with BOTH a recreational AND competitive program in place. We at Phoenix care about ALL levels of gymnastics, in fact as a not-for-profit club, any profit made is put straight back into the gym and gymnasts. Our owners and directors volunteer their time freely for a love and passion for gymnastics.

All sessions are currently running following the most up to date government guidance and restrictions, including but not limited to: Social Distancing, Reduced class sizes, Regular hand sanitising, Drop-and-go classes, and stringent equipment/training centre cleaning including Biomist technology.

We are regularly assessing the guidance we have to ensure the classes and centres are as safe as possible at all times.

Our Gymnastics sessions cater for beginner to intermediate level. This includes new and existing members. Sessions are split into 3 age groups and by ability, so we try to ensure that all the gymnasts are in the most suitable group. Occasionally, gymnasts may be moved to a different group midterm if this is deemed more suitable for them. Please book your child into their current age group. If your child has been doing gymnastics at another club, please email info@phoenixgymnastics.ie and we can advise you which session is best to book.

We also offer a full range of competitive programs, Teen ACTIVE, Adults, and Pre-School classes. More information can be found on our About Us page.

All our online payments are handled through Stripe. Stripe is an international renowned payment gateway with fully up to date security measures. Our booking site – Bookeo – does not handle payments or payment details directly and all secure information is handled by Stripe. More information about Stripe Security can be found here: https://stripe.com/docs/security#security-at-stripe

Details of your child’s session times and dates can be found in your confirmation email. If you have not received your confirmation email, please email info@phoenixgymnastics.ie and the office will assist you.

Please see our Calendar or your booking confirmation email for term dates.

Gymnasts will need to wear comfortable clothing or leotards for their class. Shorts or leggings and a t-shirt are perfect. Long hair MUST be tied back, and NO JEWELLERY is allowed. Any shoes or bags can be left in the waiting room/cubby holes, but we please ask that everything is kept tidy as it is dangerous when items are left in the middle of the floor. Gymnasts can also bring a bottle of water into the gym which will be kept on a table inside the gym.

Please make sure you bring your booking confirmation with you.  A coach will let the gymnasts into the building. Currently, due to COVID-19 restrictions, classes are Drop-and-go. All belongings can be left in the waiting room or cubby holes near the gym entrance. Gymnasts will then be taken into the gym for their session. At the end of the session, a coach will let the gymnasts out to be collected.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our waiting rooms are currently closed.

Most of our communication is done via email. If you do not receive our emails, please let us know such that we can update your email address on our system. Any important notices are also posted in the gym. There are also regular updates on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Our competitive programs are by Trial or Invite only. We regularly assess our general gymnastics classes for selection into our more advanced programs and also hold trials throughout the year.  If you would like more information, please email info@phoenixgymnastics.ie and the office will be happy to assist you.

We have training centres in Tallaght and Park West. Please see our Contact Us page for full details.
